Skyline Exhibits Alberta is looking for a Service Technician who is eager to join our growing service department. Our service technicians help with preparing orders, staging exhibition stands and installing them at trade shows, shipping & receiving, and other miscellaneous tasks in our facility and at event venues. This position is a full-time position requiring 40 hours/week and the ideal candidate likes physical work and building things.

 

The trade show world is a fast-paced environment and offers lots of room for upward mobility. The candidates must be able to lift heavy loads and ideally have a valid driver’s license. Most work is done in Calgary, AB during the week, but it does require some evenings and weekends and travel, including internationally.  We offer on the job training, so no experience required.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

 

Tradeshow Install & Dismantle

• On-site trade show exhibit installation & dismantle

• On-site packing, re-packing and shipping of client materials

• Inspect jobs that are built and set up to make sure they are complete, in good condition and free of discrepancies

• Pull, prep and packaging of client exhibits to prepare for shipping

• Work with Project Managers to complete scheduled jobs

• Effectively communicate between the client, operations and other technicians to ensure the project’s success

• Build and repair exhibits as required

• Maintain and enforce proper safety standards. Maintain a clean and safe work area daily

• Make sure jobs are packed properly to prevent damage and adhere to established quality standards

• Ensure quality of work meets organization standards for all I & D jobs

 

Shop / Warehouse Maintenance

• Ensuring the warehouse stays neatly organized and clean at all times

• Ensure Exhibit Force inventory and shipping information is up to date

• Assist in development of forms & tools & processes to increase company efficiency and risk management

• Trade Show industry experience is considered an asset
