Summary

 

Pacific Group Displays a full-service designer / manufacturer of displays and exhibits. We require the services of a Special Event Trailer Operator for a 38’ bumper pull trailer that houses an interactive educational exhibit. This trailer travels extensively throughout Canada and the United States setting up at local elementary schools, community events, trade shows, and fairs. This is a great opportunity for someone that desires to work independently and enjoys travelling for extended periods of time. If you can provide professionalism, an outgoing positive demeanor, and dedication to maintaining a determined schedule we would love to discuss this opportunity with you. The successful candidate must be available evenings and weekends and be able to travel internationally.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

​

•    Safe operation of 38’ trailer and tow vehicle (1 Ton GMC Truck)
•    Daily set up of exhibit and interactive elements
•    Maintenance and cleaning of exhibit
•    Working out trailer storage details
•    Managing maintenance and repairs of truck and trailer
•    Working with Internet based calendar and event coordinators in planning upcoming events
•    Pre event site checks and route planning/scheduling
•    Booking accommodation, flights, and travel details
•    Daily and weekly expense and job reporting
•    Implementing safety procedures and maintaining driving records
•    Interacting with public on behalf of client – “An Ambassador”

Required Work Experience / Skills / Attributes

• Class 3 Licence

• Experienced Driver / Trailer Skills - 3 Years Related Experience

• Clean Drivers Abstract

• Event Management Experience is an Asset

• Computer Skills Required – Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook

• Public & Customer Service

• Friendly, Calm, Patient, and Positive
